The next step to our building process is to conduct a Feasibility Study. A stewardship/development company will need to be interviewed. This study will help our parish and our leaders discern what we can feasibly and reasonably do for Phase 1. Once we discern Phase 1, we will begin a Capital Campaign for Phase 1 of our Facilities Vision.
Phase 1 can be one building, a combination of buildings, or a particular pressing facility need. Each phase will go through a building process of discernment, designing, planning, fundraising, meetings, and building.
Each phase will have different costs and thus each phase will have a feasibility study that helps us to discern what we should build next. We do not have an exact number for each building at this time.
Thanks to the Diocese of Austin in helping us with a generous grant, one possible solution is to include our current debt in a Capital Campaign for Phase 1 that will help us to reduce our debt faster and build for our future. Our debt amount will most likely be included in Phase 1.
We cannot give an exact number of years because each phase has a different length of time in order to build. These visioning images and campus master plan renderings are for the long-term. Thus, this process can take many years as we build each facility in phases.
We gathered all of the information from the visioning sessions, survey answers sent out to parishioners, and projected growth demographics from the city and ongoing projects in the area that are already responding to the expedient growth. Based on the data collected through Jackson and Ryan Architects, we discerned the various buildings for our programming and future facilities.
