Infants to 6 years old Baptism


Requirements to have your child baptized at St. Patrick


Steps for having your child baptized:

  1. Family of the child to be baptized must be a registered family at St. Patrick's. Register HERE
  2. Complete the Baptism Registration form below to begin the process. This lets us know that you are interested in having your child baptized here at St. Patrick. 
  3. Parents must attend a meeting with one of the St. Patrick clergy to discuss the family’s faith history and vision for their child’s faith formation. 
  4. Parents and sponsors must attend a baptismal preparation class. Classes at St. Patrick are held on the first Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. Please email Deacon Barry (deacon.barry@stpatrickhutto.org) to register for the class.
  5. After the class is completed, Deacon Barry will email our Front Office that you are ready to set up a Baptism date.
  6. The front office will contact you to set up a Baptism date. In order to proceed with baptism, we will need the following (all forms are downloadable under Baptism documents on the right side of this page): 
  • parish registration, if not already completed 
  • original copy of your child's birth certificate 
  • completed baptismal application
  • completed sponsor covenant form(s) (Godparent Sponsor Form)
  • copy of the Certificate of Completion of a Baptism class (within 3 years of taking the class)

Scheduling of Baptisms: 

  • Baptisms are scheduled on Saturday mornings or after all weekend masses. You can pick which day and time you would like your child to be baptized. 
  • Baptisms are done one family at a time.   


ALL PAPERWORK MUST BE TURNED IN TO CHURCH OFFICE 10 DAYS PRIOR TO BAPTISM


There is a parish fee of $15.00.

Baptism for Children 7+ Years or Adults

Baptism for children over 7 years or older.


Children who are 7 years or older and have had no prior faith Formation need to enroll in their grade level Religious Education Class and the RCIC (RCIA adapted for Children) classes for two years. After successfully completing this process, they may celebrate Full-Initiation into the Catholic Church during the Easter Vigil.
