Today, our parish family welcomes Fr. Paul-Michael Piega as our shepherd. Fr. Paul-Michael comes to us from his last appointment at the St. Mary's Catholic Center at Texas A&M University at College Station.
Fr. Piega graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Business Administration, where shortly thereafter he entered seminary. He is an alumnus of St. Joseph Seminary College in St. Benedict, Louisiana, and the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, Italy, where he received a Bachelors in Philosophy and Theology respectively. He then studied at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross and acquired a licentiate degree in the Sacred Liturgy and also studied at the Pontifical North American College in Rome.
Fr. Piega has a passion to draw others to the heart of God and believes that one can encounter God through the beauty of our faith, especially through the Church's liturgy and by having an intimate and personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Moreover, Fr. Piega recognizes that before anything else that he is a follower of Jesus Christ and is an adopted beloved son of God.
