This Sunday is the annual "SOUPer Bowl of Caring" put on by SPY. It is your opportunity to be a part of the parish community and support the Hutto Food Pantry. This is an event that parishoners (current and former) have asked if we're doing again this year. So we know folks are looking forward to it. We need everyone's help to make it a great success.
The idea is that teens bring a crock pot of soup ready to serve to the church Sunday before Mass. And then after Mass the teens will serve the soup to the parishoners. There is no direct cost of the soup. We just ask if they can make a donation. The money raised will be donated to the Hutto Food Pantry.
This year we will not be having a full Morning SPY session. Instead we ask the teens to arrive at 9:30 to help setup the classroom area for the soup distribution. And then we'll attend Mass together. At the end of Mass some teens will be serving the soup. Some will be setting up tables in the main hall. Some wll be helping clean up as people finish. When we're done serving the soup everyone will help clean up and put the tables and chairs back the way the need to be.
So teens, please be at the church at 9:30am. Parents, help them prepare a soup or stew or whatever your family likes to make. We will have extension cords and power to help keep things warm during Mass. If you have any question please reach out to Mr. Flo or Mr. David
