This weekend is Super Bowl weekend. And a tradition in SPY is to have a "Souper Bowl of Caring" event. This is a Morning SPY. For this event we ask that teens bring a crock/pot of soup. Then, the teens will serve the soup to the parish after Mass. Any donations collected go to the Hutto Food Pantry.
Since it is Morning SPY, we will meet at 8:30. There will be breakfast for the teens. We will attend Mass together. I believe the altar serves will be SPY teens. After Mass we serve the soup. And then we clean up. After everything is clean we will dismiss the teens.
If you're unable to bring a crock of soup, that's OK. If you can't bring soup can you bring some cornbread or something to go with the soup? Teens still must attend Morning SPY and I'd really like them there to serve the parish.
We are called to serve and this is a great way for the teens to serve both our parish family and the Hutto community.
