Our SPY Night for Sunday, Oct 28, will be our Morning SPY for the fall semester. We gather at 8 for breakfast and begin immediately after that. We will attend Mass as a group. After Mass, around noon, we will go out for our "Trick-or-Treat for a Cause" service project.
The session will talk about Catholic Social Justice, specifically, poverty and homelessness. To meet the required attendance portion of the day means being at the session before Mass
and attending Mass at 10:00am.
Our "Trick-or-Treat-for-a-Cause" service project has us going into the neighborhoods of Hutto asking for food donations for the Hutto Food Pantry. The teens will be out collecting food from about noon to 1:00 or 1:30. After that we'll gather back at St. Patrick to combine the collected food. We should be done by 2:00pm
We may need some parental help with driving the teens to the neighborhoods and chaperoning them. We send a group of males and a group of females to each neighborhood. Then they pair up in male/female pairs to go door-to-door collecting food items.
